Homework Task

For my homework this week in the family challenge section I had to work out the answer to this: Paul had 2 dozen=24 carrot cookies. He will eat three on Sunday. On every day that follows, he will eat a number that is one greater than the day before. On what day did he find out that he couldn't follow the pattern????

I worked out the answer by using my mathematics and wrote down the days of the week. Then I put 3 strikes under Sunday then 4 on Monday, 5 under Tuesday, 6 under Wednesday then I added it up and I got the answer 18. I put 7 under Thursday and added it up to make sure it worked and I got 25 but I checked how many cookies Paul had and he had 24. I found out that it was Thursday that Paul found out that he couldn't keep the pattern going.
